The Czechoslovakian artist Alfons Mucha is one of the founders of Art Nouveau, which is characterized by elegant lines, fresh pastel colors and lush patterns. 

Art Nouveau was popular in the early 20th century and made Mucha a real star in Paris. The mirror represents the seasons, each embodied by a graceful model.
