Antique Giltwood Oval Mirror – Late 19th Century – Provenance "Voor Adrienne"Description:A truly special find for lovers of authentic antique decor.

This late 19th-century oval mirror is a genuine piece of history, featuring a hand-carved wooden frame finished in traditional gold leaf over gesso.

What makes this piece truly unique is the original handwritten label on the reverse, which reads "voor Adrienne" (for Adrienne), adding a charming and sentimental Dutch/Flemish provenance to its story.

This is a heavy, substantial antique with the kind of character and soul that modern reproductions simply cannot replicate.

Era: Late Victorian / Louis XVI Revival (c. 1880–1910).

Materials: Hand-carved wood, gesso plaster, and authentic gold leaf.Unique Feature: Original vintage gift label "voor Adrienne" on the backing.Condition:

Excellent antique condition. The frame shows beautiful, stable "craquelure" (fine cracks in the plaster) and a rich, natural patina that proves its age. The mirror glass remains clear and functional.
